Diet Coke, TV and two scoops – the media really is on it’s last breath. What ever happened to vetted news? Don’t you miss the days that we did not have to vet the news but that they actually did their own jobs and vetted it BEFORE they print or say it? Well, thank goodness for the common sense approach to this dilemma from Sheriff Clarke.
Saturday, the “failing New York Times” printed a piece that painted a picture of President Trump sitting around the White House and guzzling Diet Cokes, while watching TV all day long, every day. It was quite the negative piece done by the MSM giant, however there was only one problem with the piece published by the New York Times: It was DEAD WRONG!
POTUS is a very busy man and does not watch that much television day in and day out, and he doesn’t watch CNN like the NYT’s story claims!
President Trump has been calling out the media on their false stories, causing four retractions in a week. Two retractions and or apology came from CNN and one from ABC and one from Washington Post. The media needs to be held accountable and gain a little bit of trust back from the American people. Sheriff David A. Clarke, Jr. had the President’s back on this one! This is what he said:
“Lib media continues to descend into irrelevancy as they nitpick over how much diet coke @realDonaldTrump drinks and how much TV he watches. Thanks NY Times for that game changing report. Would have wanted to be on the outside of THAT unimportant stuff.“

President Trump has pointed out that the media really has a reliability issue and he is not letting up on them. These are President Trump’s statements:
Very little discussion of all the purposely false and defamatory stories put out this week by the Fake News Media. They are out of control – correct reporting means nothing to them. Major lies written, then forced to be withdrawn after they are exposed…a stain on America!

Another false story, this time in the Failing @nytimes, that I watch 4-8 hours of television a day – Wrong! Also, I seldom, if ever, watch CNN or MSNBC, both of which I consider Fake News. I never watch Don Lemon, who I once called the “dumbest man on television!” Bad Reporting.
