Matt Lauer, an anchor of “Today” for two decades, was fired by NBC News Tuesday, after he was accused of inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace that took place.

In a memo to employees sent Wednesday morning, NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack said the complaint, which was made by a female colleague of Lauer’s, prompted a serious review and represented a “clear violation of our company’s standards.”

“Our highest priority is to create a workplace environment where everyone feels safe and protected, and to ensure that any actions that run counter to our core values are met with consequences, no matter who the offender,” Lack said.

Moments after, President Donald Trump reacted to the news of Matt Lauer while shredding the top dogs at NBC, accusing them of inappropriate behavior and fake news. BOOM!

“Check out Andy Lack’s past!” Trump wrote, after accusing top executives at NBC and Comcast of “putting out so much fake news.”

It is unclear what part of Lack’s past Trump was referring to.

Then he took it a step further adding, “So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin?” Trump asked. “And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the ‘unsolved mystery’ that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!”

President Trump appears to be raising questions about an intern that was found dead in Scarborough’s office, although according to the Miami Herald, a medical examiner found his staff member’s death was natural and not the result of foul play.
