According to WESH 2 News, the pilot was trying to land on a golf course, but didn’t think he could make it so he headed for Interstate 4. Luckily, he thought fast and was able to land safely heading westbound on the interstate on a newly paved area not yet opened to traffic.

A witness who was on the scene told WESH 2 News that he was in his truck when he felt vibrations and heard a loud noise. That’s when he saw the plane moving right above his truck. The witness said “He (the pilot) did an amazing job.”

Seminole County Law enforcement said one was injured and no vehicles or the plane were damaged during the landing. The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating the matter.
