And the bad news just keeps on coming for the NFL. They can not catch a break as a result of their National Anthem protests. Fox News conducted a bi-partisan poll with 1005 registered voters regarding the NFL and the results should send a clear message to league executives.
Here are the results:
According the Fox News Poll, league’s favorability had dropped a whopping 18 points since 2013. The poll shows that 46 % of voters have a positive view compared to 64% in 2013. 41% of voters have a negative view of the NFL compared to 19% in 2013.
The poll does show some party division, however as tremendous majority of Republicans (88 percent) find anthem protests compared to a large percentage of Democrats (67%) find anthem protests to be appropriate.
Majority of pollsters (52%) think kneeling during the national anthem is inappropriate vs 44 percent who think it is appropriate.
The poll was conducted by Democrat Pollster Chris Anderson and Republican Pollster Daron Shaw. Anderson said, “If the NFL were a political candidate, alarm bells would be going off in campaign headquarters.”
