North Korea’s insults & threats continued on Saturday as their foreign minister Ri Yong Ho addressed the UN. Yong Ho called President Trump “a mentally deranged person full of megalomania,” and suggested that a strike on the U.S. mainland was “inevitable.”
This was the latest in a series of exchanges between North Korea and the United States. And it was a response to President Trump’s Tuesday address to the United Nations, where he made it clear that the US would “totally destroy” North Korea if the isolated regime threatened the U.S. or its allies.
It didn’t take President Trump long to respond with a Reality Check for the foreign minister and all other North Korean leaders:
Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won't be around much longer!

President Trump’s tweet is, yet, another reminder of what North Korea should expect if they really do follow through with their statements. North Korea is almost exactly the same size as New Mexico (over 80 times smaller than the US) and their arsenal is like a grain of sand compared to what the US has in theirs. But they still should be taken seriously since they are known to have nuclear capabilities.
Any provocation, such as striking the US mainland, would be extremely detrimental to their future. So it makes little sense why they are begging for war.
