Paul Sperry a former D.C. bureau chief for Investor’s Business Daily and Hoover Institution media fellow wrote a piece about former FBI Director James Comey.
Additionally, it covers how Comey was leading the FBI into dark days of politicization. Moreover, by covering up for Hillary Clinton and her email scandal using an unauthorized server.
On October 6, 2018, Paul wrote: “Veteran FBI agents say FBI Director James Comey has permanently damaged the bureau’s reputation. For uncompromising investigations with his “cowardly” whitewash of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information.”
As it turns out… Paul was right on the money. As the recent IG report shows then Director Comey and now disgraced former FBI Director Comey had to “give 3 separate talks to FBI employees.” He had to beef up morale because of the way the Clinton probe was being handled at the time.
See tweet below:
“BREAKING: IG report reveals Comey had to give 3 separate talks to FBI employees, bureau-wide, to soothe internal friction & explain his decision to let Hillary skate –a topic I wrote about at time, prompting Strzok & Page to text complaints about my story.”

James Comey, ultimately gave the green light to give her a pass. She was careless with national secrets. Clinton used a home-brewed server for sensitive and classified government emails.
Sperry cites FBI agent Michael M. Biasello as saying, “Each month for 27 years. I received oral and computer admonishments concerning the proper protocol for handling top-secret and other classified material. And was informed of the harsh penalties. To include prosecution and incarceration,” for mishandling such material, he pointed out.
He continues, “Had myself or my colleagues engaged in behavior of the magnitude of Hillary Clinton, as described by Comey, we would be serving time in Leavenworth.”
Former Director James Comey appears to be the ring leader. The ring leader of giving Hillary Clinton a pass involving the email scandal during the 2016 election. Hillary was under investigation and Comey single-handedly brought shame upon the FBI.
Paul Sperry cites in 2016, retired agent Dennis V. Hughes, the first chief of the FBI’s computer investigations unit as saying, “In my 25 years with the bureau, I never had any ground rules in my interviews.”
Furthermore, citing “Comey tied investigators’ hands by agreeing to unheard-of ground rules and other demands by the lawyers for Clinton and her aides that limited their investigation.”
Hughes then says, “The FBI has politicized itself, and its reputation will suffer for a long time,” Hughes said. “I hold Director Comey responsible.”
The IG report “concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice,” Horowitz said in the 500 page report.
