The Cliven Bundy family have a cattle ranch in Nevada. And they have been grazing their cattle on adjacent public lands for over 150 years.
Then the Federal Government decided to fine them starting in 1992. The tab was more than one million dollars. This feud came to a head in 2014.
Federal Government goes up against the Bundy Family during Obama-era
And in April of 2014, the FBI and BLM (Bureau of Land Management) showed up at the ranch. And the Government decided to close the public land and round up all the Bundy cattle.
This did not sit too well with the Bundy’s or their supporters. Protestors joined the Bundy family. People were armed and ready to take on the FBI and BLM cattle seizers who were also armed.
There was literally a stand-off between the Bundy’s and the Federal Government. To read more about that day and see a video, click HERE.
At that time, Cliven Bundy and both of his son were both jailed. The two boys were since released, but Cliven Bundy remained in jail until yesterday. This is a HUGE win for State Right’s activists.
Obama-era Government overreach stamped out by Nevada Judge in Court showdown! CHARGES DISMISSED on a MISTRIAL.
A Nevada U.S. District Court Judge, Gloria Navarro dismissed the case. The Federal Government FAILED to divulge information that would have assisted the defense. And they were required to release it. What was the information they decided to cover up and hide instead of just being truthful?
The fact that, the FBI and BLM had installed surveillance cameras and had snipers positioned around the Bundy ranch. A reporter from the LA Times described the Judge just before dismissing the case and allowing Cliven Bundy his freedom who is now 71 years old. Judge “Navarro rebuked federal prosecutors — using the words “flagrant” and “reckless” to describe how they withheld evidence from the defense — before saying “that the universal sense of justice has been violated” and dismissing the charges.
Navarro…shredded the government for a “reckless disregard for Constitutional obligations.” She said she was troubled by the prosecution’s tardiness in delivering information about the government’s placing of surveillance cameras and snipers outside the ranch.”
Cliven Bundy walks out of jail a FREE man after 700 days
After the decision, the LA Times reported that Cliven Bundy walked out of the courthouse elevator, wearing his rancher gear and said:
“I’m not used to being free, put it that way. I’ve been a political prisoner for right at 700 days today. I come into this courtroom an innocent man and I’m going to leave as an innocent man.
My defense is a 15-second defense: I graze my cattle only on Clark County, Nev., land and I have no contract with the federal government. This court has no jurisdiction or authority over this matter. And I’ve put up with this court in America as a political prisoner for two years.”
“Since when is the federal government suppose to have an army that comes against WE THE PEOPLE?When has that ever happened in America? It happened on Bundy Ranch.
They stuck their guns down our throats. And that is definitely not what our Founding Fathers intended to happen in America. The whole world is looking at us. WHY is America acting like this? Why are we allowing the Federal Government and bueraucracies to have armies? That’s the big question the world wants to know. We’re not done with this. If the Federal Government coming after us again. We will definitely tell them the truth. And that’s all we’ve ever tried to do. Is tell them the truth. The media needs to wake up and understand.”

Clive Bundy and his Ranch and Family are far more safe under the Trump Administration than they were under the Obama-era administration.
As reported by Fox News, “U.S. Atty. Dayle Elieson of Nevada, who was appointed by Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions last week, released a short statement after the decision. “We respect the court’s ruling and will make a determination about the next appropriate steps.” America will be waiting Mr. Sessions. Don’t let us down. This family has been put through the ringer on what can only be called a harrowing experience as the Federal government tried to overreach and make a land grab. The Bundy family are American heroes.
