Drama unfolded yesterday as Sarah Sanders sparred with Democrat Representative Ted Lieu over tax reform that was just passed by the House and Senate.
It all started as Ted Lieu began ranting about his opposing views over the biggest tax overhaul America has seen in over 30 years. Sarah Sanders was touting the plan at the same time and Lieu made the mistake of replying to her to get his point across.
Lieu first sent out a tweet, replying to Sarah Sanders and then called her a liar in another soon after, which he later deleted but was screen-captured. Here they are:
Dear @PressSec: You need to read the statements from Republicans like Reps Rohrabacher, Stefanik & others. They are voting NO because the tax plan RAISES TAXES on their constituents. Millions of working families will get a tax increase, which is another broken promise by @POTUS. https://t.co/HBGBf8WxJ7

Ted Lieu’s Screen-captured Tweet, Where He Calls Sarah A Liar:

Ted Lieu tweet to Sarah, that was later deleted. He cited a false tweet about a report by The Hill
Sarah Sanders responded to Lieu with a vengeance and made him regret even trying to take her on. Here is Sarah’s reply:
Dear @tedlieu – I don’t serve in Congress, but I can read. If you had read the story, not an incorrect tweet, you would see that what I said was Dems should be begging to help Americans keep more of their money. You should spend less time tweeting, more time doing your job. https://t.co/jI3W2a0xaQ

Ted Lieu then responded that he was wrong, but of course had to make a jab about the President’s tweeting habits.
Dear @PressSec: If the Hill tweet was incorrect, then my tweet based on it would also be incorrect. Unlike the Trump Administration, I am confident enough to admit errors. Also, I dare you to give the same tweeting advice you gave me to your boss. https://t.co/EpcCV4VIiM

The only problem is President Trump tweets facts, unlike Ted Lieu. Besides, shouldn’t Ted Lieu practice what he preaches? If you see his account, you’ll find Lieu tweets far more than President Trump and his rants are cringe-worthy. Check it out when you get a chance!
The tax reform bill passed the House and Senate and is set to get a final vote by the House. If passed, it will head to the President’s desk for his signature, followed by a press conference.
