Shocking details surfaced about what exactly Matt Lauer was doing to female employees to cause him to get fired.
According to an investigation by Variety, former NBC staffers broke their silence and said Lauer frequently exposed himself, and even gifted a sex toy to another female, explaining what he wanted to do with it. The Variety article also detailed a game he likes to play with female co-hosts. (Video Below)
Lauer is reported to have several flings with colleagues, but one former producer claims they were consensual, however they were still problematic because of his rank within the network. The producer said:
“There were a lot of consensual relationships, but that’s still a problem because of the power he held. He couldn’t sleep around town with celebrities or on the road with random people, because he’s Matt Lauer and he’s married. So he’d have to do it within his stable, where he exerted power, and he knew people wouldn’t ever complain.”
One of the games he liked to play with staff was allegedly called “F**k, Marry, Kill.” It was a quiz game with men and women in the office, in which he would identify the female co-hosts that he’d most like to sleep with.
One woman says Lauer once delivered a sex toy to a female co-worker, and attached an explicit note. The note detailed how he’d use the on her, according to Variety. Another former employee said he allegedly called a female employee into his office, dropped his drawers, and flaunted his penis. (Video Below)
It was also revealed that Lauer had a secret button under his desk, so he could lock the door without getting up. Why would he need that? You could only imagine.
His misconduct was out in the open and shouldn’t be incredibly shocking as he once performed a skit where he drops his drawers and says, “Drink it in ladies” as female employees walk in. Here is the clip:
The questions now are: How long did executives know of Matt Lauer’s behavior and not do a thing about it? Should there be a formal investigation into the matter? Comment your thoughts below and SHARE!
