LOOK who wants a jet, 50 million dollars and free health care for life! And it’s NOT Jerry! Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys is calling a meeting on Nov 28th to meet to discuss the terms of Goodell’s contract extension. Roger Goodell is Commissioner of the National Football League and he is asking for Lifetime health insurance, a private jet for life and a contract of 50 Million dollars!

Jerry didn’t become a billionaire by chance. And he wants to sit down and look at that contract with the other league owners and take a look at that overly extravagant contract. And then have a vote with the other owners.

Rumors flew that they were trying to oust Jerry over his desire to review the contract before allowing only 6 members to accept the contract.

Jerry was on Fox and said that was not true that he has not received any communications regarding the rumors.

ESPN cited this:

“According to Jones’ letter, he wants the Nov. 28 sit-down in order to discuss the negotiations, oversight of the compensation committee handling Goodell’s deal and the date of a vote on the extension.

In the letter, Jones wrote that the league “has undergone unprecedented upheaval in the last two years, including a significant decline in television ratings, increased advertiser discontent, high-profile litigation concerning player suspensions, and decreasing ticket sales.”

“This is not the time for the League to undertake massive contractual obligations which are inconsistent with the League’s performance,” the letter says.

Jones’ letter also cites “severe threats of retaliation” made against him because he has questioned the negotiations over Goodell’s contract.

Jones has threatened to sue the league if the committee approves an extension for Goodell, saying it should be reviewed and approved by all owners.”

The day before Jerry Jones’ letter arrived in Goodell’s office. Goodell had sent a letter to Jerry basically telling him to butt out. According to the Wall Street Journal:

“The National Football League accused Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones of trying to sabotage its contract negotiations with commissioner Roger Goodell, calling his conduct “detrimental to the league’s best interests.”

Fight Jerry Fight !
