Sen. Rand Paul (Rep-KY) was assaulted at his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky by a man on Saturday afternoon that police identified as René Boucher. Paul was mowing at the time of the incident and Boucher was arrested and taken away by authorities for 4th degree assault misdemeanor. He is currently being held on $5,000 and could face up to a year in jail, according to FOX.
A neighbor of Rand Paul confirmed with news station WNKY that Boucher was a neighbor adjacent to Rand Paul and the 2 have been feuding for some time.
The Daily Caller discovered that voting records list Boucher as a registered democrat and FOX News reports that a Facebook account that is alleged to be maintained by Boucher was found to contain multiple anti-Trump postings.
We looked into the account said to belong to Boucher and were surprised to see just how Anti-Trump Boucher appears to be. Here are some public postings we found on the profile.
This is just some of the many posts we found. Do you think hatred for Trump and Republicans has anything to do with Rand Paul being attacked?
