Our men and women who serve and die for our Country is a SACRED occurrence. Rep Frederica Wilson (FL-D), politicized the death of one of our fallen. And General Kelly ended her attack today on President Trump. Please listen to his personal experience and what it means to lose a family member. General Kelly was none to pleased with Frederica’s attempts yesterday.
General Kelly stated, in part, the below transcript. To listen to the entire speech please see the video below.
“It STUNS me that a member of Congress would listen in on that conversation. Absolutely STUNS me.”
General Kelly starts his speech with:
“So i just wanted to perhaps make more of a statement… give more of an explanation… than what amounts to be more than a traditional press interaction. Most American’s don’t know what happens when we lose one of our soldiers, sailors, airman, marines, a coast guardmans in combat.
So let me tell you what happens, their buddies wrapped them up in whatever passes as a shroud, puts them on a helicopter as a routine and sends them home. Their first stop along the way is when they are packed in ice, typically at the airhead, and then they are then flown to usually Europe , where they are then packed in ice again and flown to Dover Air Force Base where Dover takes care of the remains, embalms them – meticulously dresses them in their uniform with the medals they’ve earned -the emblems of their service- and then puts them on another airplane linked up with a casualty officer escort who takes them home. “
“So that’s the process…” General Kelly said. Watch for more… to see how the family is told and how their heart is broken with the life changing news:
General Kelly ended with this:
“Let’s not let this last thing in our society that’s held sacred… a young man or a young woman giving his or her life for our Country – let’s try to keep… that sacred. It eroded a great deal yesterday – by the selfish behavior of a member of Congress.”
Then General Kelly would only take questions from people who know a Gold Star Family. Way to go General Kelly, way to go.
