Two weeks ago, Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, came out to tamp out the media’s on slaught of negative coverage and attempts of wreaking havoc on the relationships inside the White House.
Last week, it was Chief of Staff, General Kelly who came out and told the press that he did not plan on leaving the White House. This week, it was Mitch McConnell (KY-R) /Senate Majority Leader!
In a display of which seemed like a love-fest, McConnell and President Trump are definitely on the same page and fighting for the same goal. President Trump opened with “We’re fighting for the same thing.”
Their togetherness on the goals for the American people appeared genuine and each was saying what the other wanted to hear. President Trump praised the relationship between himself and McConnell.
Three interesting notions we learned from the McConnel-Trump presser.
- One, McConnel wants Bannon to cool his jets in attacking Senators for the 2018 Senate runs and he did not want the President to get behind Bannon’s endeavors. McConnell said regarding Bannon, “You have to recruit candidates that can actually win elections.”
- Two, Trump wants Tax Reform done by the end of the calendar year and McConnell is thinking end of January 2018.
- And finally, McConnell is looking forward to filling the 1,200 vacancies in the executive branch. 150 Federal Bench positions are up for filling. And 21 at the influential appeals court level – with 50 nominations pending. McConnell said: “Many, many are in the pipeline,” And President Trump responded “we will set records in terms of the number of Judges.”
McConnell also praised President Trump on his appointment of SCOUTS Gorsuch. McConnell said: “The single most significant thing this President has done to change America is the appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.”
Although, McConnell didn’t mention that it was himself who refused Obama’s pick of Merrick Garland for the SCOTUS position last year upon the untimely death of Justice Scalia allowing the then candidate Trump to make the nomination.
Well, there we have it! Mitch McConnell and President Trump make peace for a common goal! Who are we to believe – the men in D.C. straight from their mouths or the main stream media’s leftists’ ladened agenda? Watch the FULL presser below:
