Comedian George Lopez performed at a benefit in Denver for the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, which assists juveniles living with diabetes. He used his moment on stage to make political statements and jokes about the President, however the crowd didn’t find it to be funny.
According to Page Six, Lopez started making anti-Trump jokes, when Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei donated $250,000, then asked nicely that Lopez stop making anti-Trump jokes.
Here is how Lopez responded to Maffei:
“Thank you for changing my opinion on old white men, but it doesn’t change the way I feel about orange men.”
The audience didn’t find it at all funny, and sensing it, Lopez tried to dig out of the hole he was in by making another terrible joke:
“Listen, it’s about the kids . . . I apologize for bringing politics to an event. This is America — it still is. So I apologize to your white privilege.”
Lopez reportedly asked members in the audience if they were “El Chapo People” after they didn’t respond well to the following Lopez joke about the border wall:
“I guess you can get some Mexicans to do it cheaper and they wouldn’t crush the tunnels underneath.”
Lopez then announced a video segment and did not return after several boos from the audience.
A crowd member captured the moment and posted it on Twitter:

Lopez has been one of the most butt-hurt celebrities since Trump beat Clinton in 2016. He said he would leave the country if Trump won, but has failed to fulfill his promises, although many Americans are waiting patiently for it to happen, especially after his latest mishap in Denver.
