Katy Perry Hijacks Her Own Concert to Push Gun Control & Massacre

Katy Perry had her first major concert in New York last night since the Las Vegas Massacre occurred.

She laced her center-stage performance in front of thousands of onlookers with some of her insights on the massacre and how America can prevent against it in the future.

Before one of her songs began, Perry told the crowd, “My wish is for some freakin’ peace! Don’t ya think?” She thanked the crowd for coming out to the show and overcoming “this dumb fear.” Perry said. “You chose to come into the community of music and to be together … and be inspired.”

She had a few other like rants and then turned her attention to gun control, which we have seen other celebrities and Democrat politicians promote in recent days.

Perry pushed for “action” and had the following to say: “No one is saying, ‘Take away your guns,’ but we just don’t necessarily need assault rifles, assault weapons. We have to put our foot down more than just sending our condolences.”

She continued:

“Honestly, I get really sick to my stomach with everyone just sending their condolences, and then going back to selfie-ing and doing their regular stuff. That is not enough.”

This is sure to further open the debate on whether it’s the gun’s fault or person’s fault who was shooting the gun. What are your thoughts on what Katy Perry said? Comment your response below and Share the news!
