70-year-old actor, and recently-turned political sensation James Woods has officially announced plans to retire from acting.
Though he has hinted at retirement over recent years, Woods went about the announcment in somewhat of a bizarre way.
According to an Article by People Movies:
The 70-year-old actor announced his plans to retire from acting via his real estate agent when he put his Exeter, Rhode Island, property up for sale.
Agent Allen Gammons told the Providence Journal, that the actor is “retiring from the entertainment industry and seeking to ‘simplify his life’ by selling ‘his many real estate holdings on both coasts.’”
The lake-front property Woods is selling is said to be worth $1.39 million. It was also reported via his agent that Woods’s brother and mother died recently. He plans to spend time to spend time on photography, antiquing and playing Texas Hold’em poker.
In 2013, Woods discussed plans to never work again after criticizing President Barack Obama. Here was his 2013 statement via Daily Mail:
‘I don’t expect to work again. I think Barack Obama is a threat to the integrity and future of the Republic. My country first,’ Woods is quoted as saying.
Woods has become a conservative sensation for speaking out against Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and other well-known Democrat politicians through his Twitter account. Millions of Americans tuned in to his thoughts throughout the course of the 2016 election. Woods went against the Hollywood grain by supporting President Trump, since many actors and actresses openly voiced their support for Hillary Clinton.
