Steven Seagal blindsided everyone today when he came out on Piers Morgan’s Good Morning Britain and weighed in on NFL protests that have plagued the entire NFL.
“I believe in free speech, I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But I don’t agree that they should hold the United States of America or the world hostage by taking a venue where people are tuning in to watch a football game and imposing their political views. I think it’s outrageous, I think it’s a joke. It’s disgusting.” And that wasn’t the end of it.
He continued: “I respect the American flag. I myself have risked my life countless times for the American flag. And I don’t understand or agree with this kind of behavior.”

There are only a handful of famous people left in this world, such as Seagal, with enough common sense to understand how serious it is when someone as popular as an athlete uses their arena/stage to spread disrespect to our country. It should be a no-brainer that it’s 100% wrong to protest our National Anthem. And it’s dumbfounding to think about how these high paid, un-repressed players, coaches and executives simply don’t get it and don’t try to stop such actions. They only continue to justify it and it’s sickening to see unfold.
