U2 NOT To Scale City Walls of St.Louis in face of Protests! CANCELS Concert!

Billboard just announced “U2 and Ed Sheeran have canceled concerts planned for St. Louis this weekend over security concerns as the city faces violent protests following the acquittal of a former white police officer in the shooting death of a black man.”

U2’s website in their statement cited “We have been informed by the St. Louis Police Department that they are not in a position to provide the standard protection for our audience as would be expected for an event of this size.
We have also been informed that local crowd security personnel would not be at full capacity. In light of this information, we cannot in good conscience risk our fans’ safety by proceeding with tonight’s concert. As much as we regret having to cancel, we feel it is the only acceptable course of action in the current environment.” – Live Nation and U2

Full refunds will be given for ticket holders.

Great music. St.Louis is missing out. Too bad protests have to overtake good times in America.

Listen to this rendition of U2 – “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” from the Album The Joshua Tree (with a church choir of Harlem).

Seems St.Louis were some city walls they weren’t going to scale without Police Protection!
